Special Olympics program offered in Hutto

The City of Hutto Parks and Recreation Department is offering a special Olympics program for people 18 years and older who have been identified as having an intellectual disability. Participants will have the opportunity to train and compete in a variety of Olympics style sports.

The City of Hutto Parks and Recreation Department is offering a special Olympics program for people 18 years and older who have been identified as having an intellectual disability. Participants will have the opportunity to train and compete in a variety of Olympics style sports.

According to city officials, athletes will be able “to enhance their selfesteem, physical fitness, development of teamwork, friendships and a sense of belonging.” The cost of participation is free. To learn more, call 512-759-4000 or email [email protected].
