Betty Lou “Nonnie” Warren

Betty Lou “Nonnie” Warren was an exceptional woman who was loved by family and friend near and far. Betty Lou Warren was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Pflugerville, to parents Jack and Lucinda Hornsby. She passed peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2024, in Rockdale, Texas at the age of 85.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lucinda Hornsby; brother, Ross Hornsby; late husband, Llyod Warren; and daughter, Karrie Ann Oertli. She is survived by her children, Tamera Rowe Oertli, Dale Warren and Ron Warren.

Betty was also grandmother and great-grandmother to many adoring grandchildren as well as a large extended family near and far.

Betty Lou was a devout member of the church and actively involved in her community. She spent her last years living the peaceful farm life in Taylor with her loving partner, Curtis Neidig. She can be remembered for her love of driving fast and talking nonstop. Some of her many hobbies included sewing and trying out new recipes for her family.

“Those we love can never be more than a thought away...for as long as there is a memory, they live in our hearts forever.”

A memorial will be held April 6, 2024 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 10 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Hornsby Cemetery at 1 p.m.
