Wesley F. Cervenka, Jr.

Wesley F. Cervenka, Jr.

Wesley F. Cervenka, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Thorndale on March 25, 2024. He was born on January 16, 1961 to Evelyn and Wesley Cervenka in Taylor, Texas.

He married the love of his life, Brenda “Gamble” Cervenka, on November 23, 2005. Wesley was a devoted and loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and the best Paw-Paw. He was a hard worker, was full of life and always had a project at home to work on or a good dad joke to tell. Wesley loved spending time with his family whether it was a BBQ, going out fishing or playing a good game of dominoes. He enjoyed his music (especially Sunday polkas) and singing. He loved tracking the rainfall, had a quick-witted humor and always said ‘I love you’ before ending a call. He was a man with a huge heart, a never-ending faith and loved the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cervenka of Thorndale; mother Evelyn Cervenka of Taylor; daughter Theresa Cervenka of Rockdale; step-children, Tina, Kacy, James, and Dalton; sister Darlene and husband John Gould of Taylor; sister Debbie and husband Wayne Knox of La Grange; sister Judy and husband Jon Stepanek of Georgetown; brother Michael Cervenka of Taylor; sister Veronica and husband Clayton Walther of Austin; numerous nieces and nephews, and his pride and joy, his 11 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Wesley Frank Cervenka, Sr., grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and his nephews’ wife.

Special thanks and gratitude to his doctors, medical staff and hospice for their special care over the past few years.

Memorial services are pending and will be posted at a later date.
