HUTTO – Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases within the Hutto ISD Transportation Department, delays are expected to bus service the first week after the winter break.

“We will communicate directly with those on the affected routes (Tuesday) afternoon,” said David Uecker, director of transportation. “No routes will be canceled.”

Anyone who utilizes bus service in the district is asked to parents to consider transporting their students because they will be outside longer than usual.

In addition, two crossing guard stations will not be staffed this week. Those include the top of the hill at San Antonio Riverwalk and Llano River Trail (Howard Norman Elementary School) and the intersection of Gato Lane and West Doucet Cove (Kerley Elementary School). Both locations are expected to re-open Monday, Jan. 10.
