Every two years, this happens. The University Interscholastic League redraws classifications, districts and regions every other year. When it comes to the basketball districts, the UIL actually did a good job.
Taylor was placed in District 26-4A with schools from the Austin Independent School District and a pair of area charter schools. The Ducks will no longer have to drive along or across Interstate 35 to face Burnet, Georgetown Gateway, Jarrell, Lampasas, Marble Falls or Salado unless they face them in a nondistrict game.
