Stargaze Jan. 31

STAFF REPORTS [email protected]

Take a look at the beautiful stars and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate this Wednesday.

The city of Taylor will host a stargazing party Wednesday, Jan.

31, at 7 p.m. at the Tournament Regional Park North Soccer Field, 210 Carlos Parker G. Blvd. NW.

Admission is free, but registration is requested. Stargazing is weather dependent, registrants will be notified if the event is rescheduled.

During the party, guests will look at Jupiter and objects in the bright winter constellations of Orion, Tarus, Gemini, Auriga and Canes Major.

Partygoers are asked not to bring regular f lashlights with white lights because that will interfere with the night vision. However, f lashlights with red lighting are permitted because that does not affect night vision.

Enter at 210 Carlos G Parker Blvd, and then drive as far north as you can in the soccer field parking lot.

When pulling into the parking lot next to the soccer fields, please dim your headlights.
