HUTTO — Hutto Independent School District trustee Felix Chavez Jr. has earned the designation of Master Trustee upon completion of Leadership TASB, a program sponsored by the Texas Association of School Boards.
Chavez, who was first elected to the board of trustees in November 2020, is now the fourth local trustee among the current seven members of the board who have earned the master trustee designation.
During this fifth and final session, June 19-22, school board members in the 2023-24 Leadership TASB class made presentations of their team’s findings following yearlong research. Class participants researched five specific critical issues in Texas public education.
