Taylor ISD recently announced the promotion of assistant baseball coach Lance Larson to head coach.
Larson replaces Kale McQuillen, who led the Ducks for the past two seasons and compiled a 5-19 district record.
Larson has been with the program for multiple years as he will look to lead the Ducks back to the postseason after a two-year playoff drought.
Taylor will also compete in a new district that includes LBJ Austin, Manor New Tech, Eastside Early College, Austin Achieve and Travis.
