The city of Taylor will be in search of a new Chief of Police.
Henry Fluck, who served as Taylor's police chief for 12 years, is retiring. His final day on the job will be Monday, Sept. 22.
“Chief Fluck has been a great asset to our community,” said Brian LaBorde, City Manager. “He has invested in the department’s capabilities, created a culture of service, and served Taylor with honor.”
Fluck has a career that spans nearly half a century. After 24 years with the El Paso Police Department, Fluck became Chief of Police in Cedar Park in 2000 and served in that capacity until 2013, when he took the same position in Taylor.
Commander Joseph Branson will serve as the interim Chief of Police in Taylor while the city searches for its next chief. More on this story can be seen in the Sept. 20-21 edition of the Taylor Press.
