COUPLAND — The Singleton family is seeking community support after a fire the evening of July 26 heavily damaged their home.
City officials said the cause may have been electrical in nature.
According to Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 10, firefighters responded to the structure fire and quickly brought the blaze under control with help from mutual-aid agencies.
All six family members safely escaped, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters said the house sustained significant damage.
Following the blaze, the Singleton family is seeking donations of clothing as they begin the recovery process.
A spotfund fundraiser has also been established to help the family replace essential belongings and cover expenses as they rebuild, officials said. Those who would like to contribute can visit http://spot.fund/dgznr8csc.
"We just paid all our bills, but we live paycheck to paycheck like so many," the family wrote on its fundraising page. "We are now starting over with four kids and almost nothing else. We urgently need help with funds for housing and basic necessities as we take the first steps toward rebuilding our lives."
Williamson County ESD No. 10 was assisted by Bastrop/Travis County Emergency Services District No. 1, Hutto Fire Rescue, the Pflugerville Fire Department and Williamson County Emergency Medical Services.
