A pavilion inside the Williamson County Expo Center named after a former community was dedicated Friday afternoon with a ribbon cutting.
The Friendship Pavilion, named after a former community that now lies beneath Lake Granger, is a 175x450-feet pavilion located on the west side of the Expo Center. The Friendship Pavilion will serve several functions for existing and future events, allowing some existing events to grow in size and scope.
“I want to thank the citizens of Williamson County for their continued support for projects that make investments in our future while honoring our history,” said Pct. 4 Commissioner Russ Boles. “East Williamson County needs facilities as it continues to grow. The new Friendship Pavilion will provide a space to support our beloved livestock and agricultural communities. The new facilities will allow our farmers and ranchers to meet, learn and compete at what they do best.”
More on this can be seen in the Wednesday E-Edition of the Taylor Press.
