NOV. 17
A 40-year-old Taylor man who had a protective order filed against him found himself in double trouble after being detained at 10:57 a.m. at a residence in the 1900 block of Canvas Back Drive. According to officers, the suspect choked a member of the household, leading to his arrest on a pair of third-degree felony charges – assault/family violence-strangulation and violation of a protective orderassault.
NOV. 18
A 26-year-old man charged in a warrant out of Georgetown with animal cruelty, a Class A misdemeanor, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. in the 500 block of Otis Street.
NOV. 19
A 35-year-old Taylor man was arrested at 4:52 p.m. in the 600 block of Doak Street after officers said he not only entered a residence without permission but also assaulted a person inside. He was charged with two Class A misdemeanors – assault with injury and criminal trespass of a habitation.
NOV. 20
A 33-year-old Taylor motorist did not win his race against law enforcement. During a traffic stop at 10:53 p.m. in the 100 block of East Fourth Street, the motorist led Taylor officers on a brief vehicle pursuit before he was stopped in the 300 block of Washburn Street. He subsequently was charged with fleeing a police officer, a Class B misdemeanor.
NOV. 22
Officers rushing to the 4100 block of Kings Canyon Drive took a 37-yearold Taylor woman into custody after receiving reports a juvenile was assaulted. The woman was charged with injury to a child, a third-degree felony.
