Ribbon cutting heralds new school
GRANGER — After months of anticipation, Granger Secondary School opened its doors to the community for a ribboncutting ceremony and to offer tours of the new campus.
Lengthy delays caused by a waterline project now seem to be a thing of the past, officials said.
Built with a 2023 bond, the $44 million building

Granger Secondary School has rolled out the welcome mat to greet students when they report for the first day of class Monday.
The new school at 17000 FM 971 has state-of-the-art labs and technology, but also pays tribute to the past with displays of pictures and trophies.
“We’re going to continue to put GISD students at the forefront of educational growth in everything that we do,” Superintendent Stephen Brosch said during the ceremony.
The district held a “move-in” day on Friday to prepare for the first day of classes in the new building Monday.
