Waste Connections and the city are hosting the annual Neighbor Helping Neighbor Big Taylor Cleanup Event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25.
There are two locations where Taylor residents can drop off bulk garbage items – 1302 Welch St. and 1424 N. Main St.
Residents may deposit the items for free by showing proof of residence such as a water bill or valid identification.
“Neighbor Helping Neighbor is about strengthening the bonds that make Taylor a resilient and caring community. When volunteers show up for one another, it reminds us of what is possible when a city comes together with purpose,” said Diana Phillips, president of Greater Taylor Community Foundation.
The Big Taylor Cleanup provides residents with a free opportunity to dispose of large, hard-to-remove items, which must be placed curbside. Volunteers will not enter homes or backyards. To arrange a pickup or refer a neighbor who needs assistance, residents may call 512-906-8444.
