County EMS stations now storing anti-overdose drug
GEORGETOWN—In a sign of the times, Williamson County has begun keeping a lifesaving drug on hand to counter the effects of opioids, such as Fentanyl. Since November, the county has been keeping Narcan, an anti-overdose drug also called naloxone, with automated external defibrillators (AEDs) that are located in all Williamson County buildings. 12/03/2022 08:01 AM

New school zone coming to FM 685
HUTTO – Drivers already bemoaning heavy traffic along FM 685 will soon face another slow down, but Hutto students will be safer with a new school zone being added in front of the high school. The new zone travels along the front of the school and restricts the speed to 35 mph when the flashing lights are operating, which is 15 mph below the posted speed limit on Chris Kelley Blvd. 12/03/2022 08:01 AM

Crochet group donates items for Dec. 19 library raffle
Looking to support the Taylor Public Library and get in the running for some beautiful, hand-knit items at the same time? On November 15, the Taylor Public Library Hooks and Needles club presented the Friends of the Taylor Public Library with a handmade Afghan blanket and a crocheted unicorn.
