The Ninth Annual Taylor Main Street Car Show, the biggest show in Central Texas, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat. Oct 29. This family-friendly event will feature cars, live music, shopping, food trailers and cold Texas Beer. Admission to the event, which brings in more than 10,000 attendees annually, is free. In addition, there are two dozen locally owned small businesses in downtown Taylor. Open containers are allowed in downtown, so you can sip, shop, and stroll. To sponsor, volunteer or become a vendor, please contact Jan Harris at the City of Taylor: jan. [email protected] or 512-352-3463. To register a car in advance, the fee is $15 or $25 the day of the event. Car show participants should arrive by 9 AM, and the earliest cars get the best parking spots. HUTTO – As the fentanyl crisis explodes into a nationwide panic and more people are killed by fentanyl than any other cause, teens are among the fastest growing victims according to the CDC. Nearby Hays County experienced a tragedy of four student deaths and more students hospitalized this summer, suspected victims of fentanyl-laced pills.
