Wildfire risk remains high in much of state
Wildfire risk remains high in much of state
Much of the state remains at considerable risk for wildfires through this week, largely because of higher-than-usual temperatures and drought conditions. More than 40% of the state is suffering extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Nearly the entire state is in some form of drought, with much of the Panhandle, High Plains and west central Texas most at risk. 04/02/2022 06:13 AM
A view from the band stands on disparities in women’s sports
A view from the band stands on disparities in women’s sports
March Madness is packed with amazing opportunities for fans, students and cities, but showcases obvious disadvantages between men and women’s basketball. I have been given the fortune to travel to many cities this semester to perform at basketball tournaments for the Razorback basketball teams. 03/26/2022 07:37 AM

Residing in Arkansas as a resident assistant
Juggling student life with school, band and a job is tough, but being a resident assistant can bring unexpected joy. This school year, I was hired to be a resident assistant (RA) at the University of Arkansas. 03/19/2022 08:11 AM

The pyramids
The pyramids
Dear Editor, I never did believe that a bunch of Egyptian slaves were capable of building the massive structures in Giza, Egypt. The largest of the The largest of the three pyramids is some 955 feet long at the base and 455 feet tall. 03/12/2022 09:04 AM
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor, I admit it I can get riled about things. However, there is absolutely no excuse for everyone not to be angry and upset about what is happening to Ukraine and the people in that country! But the real angst that gets me going is people such as tucker carlson (I spell this name intentionally in lower case), and Rupert Murdoch, who allows jokers such as carlson to be on the air waves saluting Putin. 03/05/2022 10:19 AM

The middle of the road
There are always two sides of a story. Our job is not to choose a side but stand in the middle of the road. 02/26/2022 07:26 AM
