Williamson County COVID-19 cases increased by 361 in two weeks and remain low compared to the thousands per week in January. Salvation Army’s Taylor Service Unit was called into action last week to help combat devastation. Taylor High School celebrated Black History Month in February with presentations by several speakers to share local stories and information about black history. Chamber thrilled by Trades Day
Trades Day is always one of the Chamber’s favorite events of the year and, my goodness, this year did not disappoint! Held March 2, at the Williamson County Expo Center, the event welcomed more than 600 students from 13 schools including those in Taylor, Elgin, Giddings, Hutto, Fayetteville, Pflugerville, Burnet and Temple. In four at-bats, Chris Perez collected four hits and drove in four runs in Taylor’s 10-2 beat down of the Burnet Bulldogs last Tuesday, March 25, to improve to 3-1 in district and 10-6-1 overall.
