At 6:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Main Street, officers responded to a report of a motor-vehicle crash. An investigation revealed a 35-year-old man had stolen the vehicle prior to the crash. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony. Responding to a disturbance report at 5:14 p.m. in the 1100 block West Seventh Street, officers learned a 37-year-old man physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. He was charged with assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at Dollar General, 116 W. Lake Drive at 9:08 a.m. A 44-year-old man on the property had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning previously. He was charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor.
SEPT. 16
At 8:20 a.m., the Taylor Police Department learned a 47-yearold man turned himself in at the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown for an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for driving while license suspended.
SEPT. 19
A 48-year-old man was apprehended in the 1700 block of West Seventh Street with an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief over $100, a Class B misdemeanor. Responding to a report of an unwanted person at 1:31 p.m. in the 400 block of North Main Street, officers located a 31-year-old man who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 under 1 gram, a state jail felony.
