Taylor and the surrounding region have a high-tech future on the horizon, and area institutions of higher learning are adapting right along there with it to meet the needs of local industry, community partners and students seeking up-to-date, hands-on skills. Patriot Day set for Sept. 11

Mamma Jamma Ride in Taylor Sept. 17
The 2022 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride will begin at 8 a.m. at Heritage Square on Saturday, Sept. 17 to raise funds in support of Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus, which brings affordable mobile mammogram services to low-income and underserved women in the region. Since the ride was launched in 2009, more than $2 million has been raised to combat breast cancer. Registration for the all-skills-level event is $35 for each adult rider, who is required to raise at least $300 to ride on event day and will receive the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride t-shirt, $50 for under-18 riders, for whom fundraising is not required, and $35 for virtual riders, with no fundraising minimum either. 08/27/2022 09:51 AM

HUTTO – The city of Hutto and Hutto ISD have teamed up to launch #HippoNationFriday, a community-wide initiative to show community unity and pride by wearing Hutto orange every Friday.
