Rodeo invests in education
The Taylor Rodeo wrapped up its 2022 event on Saturday, July 16. During the three-day rodeo, ropers and riders competed for prizes, but for some award recipients the competition took place months earlier. Ten students from Williamson and Milam counties were each awarded $5,000 scholarships during the Friday night rodeo. Egrets spark outage

Eagle Scout to be honored for flag boxes
The Hutto City Council is set to honor local Eagle Scout candidate Elliott Koncaba during the July 7 City Council meeting for his work on an Eagle Scout Community Project. Hutto first responders worked two crashes almost within one week at the intersection of U.S. 79 and County Road 131 near Hutto’s east city limits. The first crash was June 26, followed by the second on July 4.
