Merilyn Stevens

She was born in Taylor, Texas on July 4, 1935, to the late Leonard and Beatrice (Schwartz) Kerlin. She moved to Westfield, Massachusetts in the 1950s.

She worked at Digital Equipment for many years and retired in 1991. She loved the outdoors riding her mule into the woods with her BB Gun and Bible looking and taking pictures of deer and wild turkeys and sharing her images with others.

She also fed her birds especially the hummers and Orioles. She adored all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren known to them as Nina, spending many vacations together in Rockport.

Known as “Mersie” to many friends, she touched their hearts with love and laughter. Merilyn was preceded by her husbands, Andy Tobias and Sunny Stevens.

She leaves her children, Kimberly Sorel and her husband William, and Andrew Tobias and his wife Pam, her grandchildren Meghan Sorel, Ashley Toney, Jeremy Sorel, Sarah Tobias, Emily Tobias, and Abby Tobias, her great-grandchildren August Sorel, Madeline Toney, Oliver Toney and Finley. She also preceded by her brother Milton Kerlin and her sister Delores Locklin.

In her memory, share the light, share Jesus and above all love one another. A celebration of life will be held on her family farm at a future date.
