HUTTO — The Hutto High School varsity football team will enter the 2025 season looking to make a splash under new head coach Eli Reinhart, as the program recently released its full schedule.
The Hippos will open the season on the road against San Marcos on Friday, Aug. 29, before hosting Judson in their home opener on Friday, Sept. 5. Hutto begins district play on the road at Cedar Ridge on Friday, Sept. 12, followed by a home matchup with Manor on Friday, Sept. 19.
After a bye week, the Hippos will travel to Round Rock Westwood for a Thursday night game on Oct. 2. They will then return home to face Round Rock on Friday, Oct. 10, and hit the road again for a matchup with Stony Point on Friday, Oct. 17.
Hutto will host defending Class 5A Division II state champion Vandegrift on Friday, Oct. 24, travel to Vista Ridge for a Thursday game on Oct. 30, and close the regular season at home against McNeil on Friday, Nov. 7.
The Hippos are aiming to make the playoffs for the first time in four years. They return a strong offensive core led by starting quarterback Kaden Stefek, running back Keilan Chavies, and top receiver Jaiden Fields — all poised to make a statement this fall.
