The Hutto Hippos varsity football team's season came to an end in a 56-37 loss to San Antonio Johnson in the area round of the playoffs on Friday, Nov. 21, at Bob Shelton Stadium.
The Hippos could not stop Johnson's run game as it was able to dominate the line of scrimmage and control time of possession.
Hutto closed the season with a 9-3 record and a share of the district championship after finishing 7-1 in district.
