HUTTO — Police are looking for answers after a weekend singlevehicle rollover accident sent two people to the hospital in critical condition.
First responders rushed to the scene at 10:41 p.m. Saturday on East Wilco Highway, which was closed down for four hours.
Officials said a Jeep Compass in which the driver and passenger were traveling left the roadway while headed west on East Wilco inside the city limits. After striking a concrete wall, the vehicle moved back onto the roadway and rolled over, officers said.
According to investigators, neither occupant wore seat belts. Both were rushed to area hospitals with injuries believed to be lifethreatening, police said.
They have not been identified.
There are no known eyewitnesses to the accident and investigators hope a security camera at a business or residence might have caught the accident.
