Less than six hours into the new year, Taylor Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call at 5:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Lenora Drive. An investigation revealed a 34-year-old Taylor man was suspected of physically assaulting a member of the household, causing injury. The man was charged with assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
JAN. 4
At 1:50 a.m., officers responded to gunfire in the 1000 block of West Second Street. Police contacted a 29-year-old Taylor man suspected of discharging the firearm. He was charged with deadly conduct, a third-degree felony.
