Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has added Williamson County to the state’s Winter Weather Disaster Declaration, along with 84 other counties, as freezing temperatures and icy conditions impact Texas.
The expanded declaration allows state agencies — including the Texas Division of Emergency Management, TxDOT, and the Texas National Guard — to provide resources such as road treatment, emergency assistance, warming centers and support for local first responders. Residents are urged to limit travel and stay informed as winter weather continues.
