A brief standoff that resulted in a shelter in place order for a Hutto neighborhood ended with an arrest Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect, 36-year-old Christopher Deba, was taken into custody by the Hutto Police Department around 4:15 p.m. According to authorities, the suspect already had a felony parole warrant and will likely face other felony charges.
Around noon, Hutto police received a call from someone who said they were assaulted but were able to escape a residence on the 100 block of Holland Drive. Based on the severity of the circumstances, Hutto police activated its Special Response Team and called Williamson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT for assistance.
