The Welfare Workers Club will host a Black History Month presentation Saturday evening.
The event is titled, “African American History in Taylor, Texas 1940 to Present,” and takes place from 4-7 p.m. at the Dickey-Givens Community Center, 1015 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The exhibit is from 4-5 p.m. and the history and events presentation is from 5:15-7.
The Welfare Workers Club was established in 1935 and is the oldest African American female organization in Williamson County. Contact Don Hill at 512-718-2164 for more information.
