THRALL – Thrall Tigerettes freshman Reese Madsen earned Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State First Team honors after a standout debut season.
Madsen quickly established herself as one of the top hitters in Class 3A, leading the Tigerettes with a .525 batting average while blasting 15 home runs. She also served as a team captain during her freshman campaign, a rare honor that reflected the leadership and impact she made throughout the season.
Behind Madsen’s outstanding play, Thrall finished 11-1 in District 19-3A play to capture the district championship and advanced to the regional finals, where the Tigerettes’ postseason run came to an end in a three-game series against Kirbyville.
Madsen’s selection to the TSWA Class 3A All-State First Team caps off an impressive freshman season and highlights her as one of the state’s top young softball players heading into next year.
