The Taylor Ducks are gearing up for the 2026 volleyball season after releasing their full varsity schedule, marking the beginning of a new era under first-year head coach Sarah Neal.
Neal takes over the program after being hired earlier this year as Taylor’s girls athletic coordinator and head volleyball coach. She inherits a Ducks team looking to bounce back after finishing 9-24 overall last season.
Taylor will begin preparations with scrimmages against Jarrell on Aug. 7 before hosting its annual Duck Day Scrimmages on Aug. 8.
The Ducks officially open the regular season Aug.
11 on the road against Rockdale.
The non-district schedule includes matchups with Elgin, Academy, Giddings, Temple and Lampasas, along with appearances in the Cen-Tex Queens Tournament in Killeen, the Bastrop Varsity Tournament and the Wildcat Classic in Elgin.
District play begins Sept. 8 when the Ducks host Travis Early College High School before traveling to Northeast ECHS on Sept. 11. Taylor will also face LBJ Early College High School, Eastside Early College High School, Austin Achieve and Manor New Tech High School in district competition.
The Ducks will have their district bye on Oct.
9 before wrapping up the regular season with home matches against Eastside on Oct. 16 and Manor New Tech on Oct. 23.
Taylor’s 2026 schedule includes several opportunities to compete at home throughout the season, with key home contests against Elgin, Giddings, Travis, Lampasas, LBJ, Austin Achieve, Northeast, Eastside and Manor New Tech.
