During the recent “Stuff the Bus” campaign, the Taylor Independent School District received over $1,000 from Samsung Austin Semiconductor employees.
Samsung donated to several neighboring school districts, ensuring students arrive on the first day of school ready to learn with the supplies they need.
“This is a small way to help those in need at Taylor schools,” said Michele Glaze, head of Samsung public affairs.
Samsung’s total donation included a special company match.
“We’re grateful for the generosity of partners like Samsung,” said John Matthews, Taylor ISD Family Support Services coordinator. “It’s a great example of our community coming together to support our students and help them succeed.”
Campus doors opened Aug. 12 for Taylor’s first day of classes for the 2026-27 academic cycle.
