Hutto Hippos took down the East View Patriots 61-7 in their district opener Friday, Sept. 25.
Hutto took control of the hosting Patriots immediately, putting the score 14-0 going into halftime.
The Hippos would silence any East View attempt until late in the fourth quarter, with the Patriots putting themselves on the board 54-7.
Hutto would find the endzone once more, solidifying their victory at 61-7.
Sophomore quarterback Micah Antoun led the squad offensively, going 16/17 with 396 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The Hippos are 4-1 as the season hits the halfway mark, picking up 295 points through 19 passing touchdowns.
Hutto will continue district play when they host Vista Ridge Rangers on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. The Rangers are 2-3, coming off a tough 51-28 loss by Rouse.
