THRALL — The Thrall Tigerettes varsity volleyball team saw a major 3-0 loss in their home meeting against the Franklin Lions on Tuesday, Sept 15.
It was a tough matchup, as the Lions entered the match with an eightgame win streak, all being 3-0 sweeps.
Thrall put up a strong fight throughout the first set but could not finish, ultimately coming up short at 25-21.
The second set proved to be a difficult one, with the Tigerettes facing their lowest score of the night at 25-15.
The Tigerettes attempted to recoup for the final set but the Lions defense pushed back relentlessly, keeping Thrall down and coming out on top 25-18.
Thrall volleyball struggles to find rhythm this season as they hold a 16-14 overall record and 1-2 for district play. This time last season, the Tigerettes possessed a neutral 2-2 district record but finished the year ranked fourth overall.
Franklin now holds a 23-4 overall record and a perfect district record. Last season, the Lions finished second overall in the district rankings and reached the first round of playoffs.
