A legal action — a writ of mandamus — filed by the Halt Taylor Data Center Coalition that would have forced the city to allow residents to vote Nov. 3 on banning data-center permitting until stronger regulations were in place was denied last week by the Third Court of Appeals in Austin. The coalition had submitted the writ in July after the City Council did not act on a 1,400-signature petition regarding data center regulations. Watch the Taylor Press for more developments.
