Small things make a big difference

“Shoutout to Donuts 95. Every time I go inside, it’s a very friendly and welcoming experience. They will always receive my business.”
“What do you do when a 95-year-old-resident says he would love to go to a football game? You make it happen. He had the best time ever at the Thrall versus Holland football game. He rang his cowbell and was yelling ‘go Tigers.’ Several old friends stopped by to say hi. He stayed for the whole game. At the end of third quarter, I asked him if he was wanting to go home and he said he wanted to see the Tigers make one more touchdown. Needless to say we got him home at 11:15 p.m. and he was still smiling from ear-to-ear. Thankfully his wife wasn’t waiting up for him. I told him to have a good night and he said, ‘I already had a great night.’ I love our residents dearly. It’s the little things that makes a difference.” — SPJST Senior Living

— Caleb Garza “Thank you, 95 Donuts. You made my son’s day yesterday for his birthday. He requested donuts this year to share with his class. So, I called and placed an order for two dozen donuts, one dozen chocolate and one dozen strawberry. When I arrived, as usual, they’re always so friendly.

I told the ladies working it was my son’s birthday today, he was turning 11. She was so sweet and added an extra dozen and told me, ‘This one is for you.’ My son was very thankful.”

Alexandira Salazar “This morning on my way to work, I stopped by CVS. Mark, the GM, stopped me and said, ‘Last time you were here, you left $20, and I have been saving it for you.’

Wow. So, I just want to give a shout out to Mark at CVS for being, not just honest, but an all around good guy and a joy to visit with when shop there.”

Rachael Westerman “I want to give a shout out to El Corral. My husband and I have been regulars for more than 12 years. Now, we enjoy a nice meal there with our two kiddos. We love their breakfast and it was extra good and flavorful today.”
