BERKELEY, Calif. — Taylor High School softball alumnus Lindsay O’Dell was named Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance in the circle Sunday, April 7 as she led Loyola Marymount University to a 6-3 victory over No. 20 University of California-Berkeley.
A sophomore this 2024 season with LMU, O’Dell had a strong performance for the Lions as she threw a complete game with seven innings pitched, four strikeouts, three runs allowed just two walks issued to the Golden Bears O’Dell was a standout pitcher for the Lady Ducks, racking up a school-record 788 career strikeouts in a Taylor uniform.
As a senior following the 2021-22 season, she was named the 4A-District 19 Pitcher of the Year and was a 2022 All-CenTex softball selection.
