Resurrection
“Deliberately Diverse” represents the individual thoughts and opinions of a group of Taylor friends who almost never completely agree about anything but are gratified by the opportunity to stimulate deliberately diverse discussions in our beloved community.

I also hoped someone was listening
“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.” — Orhan Pamuk, Turkish novelist, screenwriter, academic, and recipient of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature Energizing! That’s the best way to describe being outside this time of year. East Texas Spring at Mother Nature’s best.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor, I would like to address a comic recently published in Taylor Press (Sunday, March 12, 2023). This comic, while in the opinion section, is in such poor taste that I felt that I should write to you.

Some changes are best not tampered with

Where I’m From
Editor’s note: We’re looking for a variety of young voices to contribute to “Hits Different.” If you’d like to write a commentary, send it to Area Editor Jason Hennington at jason.hennington@ granitemediapartners.com. I’m from disappearing scissors From dropped socks and Dawn Dish Soap I’m from the hay bales in the distance (Round, scratchy, best for getting away and laying on them.) I’m from Pompa’s Poplar Tree the mountain laurel both of their roots coming from another place from each of my parents’ old homes I’m from hearing aids and forgetting of phones from Lynnette and Randy I’m from the sensitive and the there-for-each-other from, “Shhh, not that loud!” and “We’re right here.” I’m from I am saved through him Who was slain on the cross and the lessons we learn from the people he still teaches through.

Bill would require fentanyl education
