Taylor still remembers 9/11 fallen
For the 20th straight year, the Taylor Fire Department will host a solemn tribute to the fallen heroes who died in the tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001 The Patriot Day Memorial March will begin at 7 p.m. this Sunday at Seventh and Davis streets and will continue down Main Street to Heritage Square for a program. Citizens will line the street to observe the procession, which will include fire, police, military and emergency service personnel from Taylor, as well from departments all over Central Texas, including Jarrell, Lake Travis, Elgin, Coupland, Ranger and Weir. “We are very honored that we are able to continue this remembrance march every year,” said Assistant Fire Chief Bobby Copeland. 09/07/2022 01:12 PM

Live music from Kenny Orts and the No Chance Band, food made by Thrall Country Diner, and beer will be on the menu at the Street Dance, a community fundraiser to benefit the Thrall Volunteer Fire Department, from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday Sept. 17 on Main Street in Thrall.
