Trucking forward
The Avery-Pickett Volunteer Fire Department added a new piece of hardware to assist with fighting fires. The department now has a 2,000-gallon tender with a 1250 GPM pump, which is typically used by firefighters to supply water to fire hose reels, fire hydrants or sprinkler systems. 07/23/2022 06:14 AM

Rodeo invests in education
The Taylor Rodeo wrapped up its 2022 event on Saturday, July 16. During the three-day rodeo, ropers and riders competed for prizes, but for some award recipients the competition took place months earlier. Ten students from Williamson and Milam counties were each awarded $5,000 scholarships during the Friday night rodeo. The winners applied in May but were notified only a few days before the rodeo started. 07/23/2022 06:14 AM
