Mueller to cook at state bash

One of Taylor’s famed barbecue restaurants will be represented next Sunday at of the Texas Restaurant Association’s featured annual events. Wayne Mueller, Louie Mueller Barebecue owner and pitmaster, will be one of the featured chefs at the TRA Lone Star Bash July 10 in Dallas.

Wayne Mueller, Louie Mueller Barebecue owner and pitmaster, will be one of the featured chefs at the TRA Lone Star Bash July 10 in Dallas. The event is part TRA’s seventh annual Texas Restaurant Show.

The Lone Star Bash begins at 6 p.m. at Gilley’s, 1135 Botham Jean Blvd in Dallas. The event is a party open to general admission but will also feature the Texas Restaurant Awards. People can enjoy food, cocktails and mingling with restaurant industry. The evening will start with the most celebrated chefs from around the state passing tasty bites alongside mixologists creating craft cocktails. Guests will later enjoy live music from rocker Stoney LaRue.

In partnership with the Texas Restaurant Foundation, the event supports the restaurant industry and raises money for scholarships and the TX Restaurant Relief Fund. The Bash will conclude the second day of the Texas Restaurant Show, an annual restaurant and foodservice show. The Texas Restaurant Show is part trade show and part conference for anyone from first time restauranteurs to industry veterans.

Tickets are $150 for general admission and includes 30 chef stations, 12 mixologist stations and the concert. Tickets for only cocktails and the concert are $50.
