Charles Ray Sutton

Charles Ray Sutton, age 72, of Taylor died Oct. 30, 2024 at the Christopher House in Austin after a short illness. Charles was born on May 24, 1952, in Taylor, Texas to Emil and Pauline Sutton.

 

He grew up in Tenth Street Methodist Church where he was a member. He graduated from Taylor High School and attended Temple Junior College.

He worked most of his life in plumbing. He loved playing around with golf and was a big Astros fan.

Charles was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Jack Wayne Sutton, and grandparents, Charles and August Sutton, and Eric and Hilma Johnson. Charles is survived by his wife, Delia “Dee’ Sutton, of Taylor; sons Shawn and Nita, of Midland, and Mark and Leslie Trevino, of Round Rock; grandchildren Dallas and Luke Sutton, of Midland, and Lyric and Melody, of Round Rock; sisters, Janie Czimskey and Kenneth, of Taylor, and Betty Lu Headrick, of Rockdale; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at Tenth Street Methodist Church in Taylor with Rev.

Summerlin officiating.

A meal will follow in the fellowship hall for family and friends.
