Nancy Stimach
Nancy Stimach

Born Feb. 25, 1955, in Los Angeles, she was the cherished daughter of Frank and Evelyn Stimach.
Nancy lived a life defined by faith, compassion, humor, curiosity and a deep love for animals, nature and her family. She earned a business degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, with further studies at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Her remarkable career culminated as a senior technical program manager at Electronic Arts and reflected her intellect, professionalism and leadership.
Nancy’s life was filled with treasured traditions, from board games with family to quiet days watching the waves and planes with her sister, Sue. Her love for animals began in childhood and never waned — she cared for everything from horned toads to horses and had a special bond with her many cherished pets, including Pippin, Dusty, Rain, Dakota, William and Dallas, among others.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1989, Nancy served faithfully in various callings. Her generosity and warmth extended to all who knew her, especially the Layton and Godbold families, who embraced her as their “Aunt Nancy.”
Nancy shared a home for decades with Debbie Cahill, one of her dearest lifelong friends, and made many happy memories traveling together.
Their cherished companion, Sophie Lou, accompanied them on their travel trailer adventures.
Nancy found peace among horses and the open Texas countryside.
Whether driving carriages or traveling with friends and family, she lived with joyful purpose.
After a stroke in 2021, her resilience shone through, supported by devoted caregivers who became like family. She is survived by her sister, Sue Wolfe, extended family and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 7, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taylor, Texas, followed by burial at Taylor City Cemetery via horsedrawn carriage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society or All Things Wild Wildlife Rescue.
