Larry Wayne Krueger, aged 83, passed away at his home in Noack Texas, on June 18, 2025.

Larry was born on April 21, 1942, in Houston, Texas to Edward and Minnie (Ganzert) Krueger. He was the third of 5 sons known as “The Krueger Boys.”

Larry graduated from Thrall High School in 1960. Larry played football and basketball as a Thrall Tiger and was a proud member of the 1959 Thrall District Champs Basketball Team.

After high school, Larry went on to get his Electrician’s License. He spent 39 years as a Master Electrician with IBEW Local Union 520 and retired in April 2004.

Larry was a long-time associate member of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department. He loved deer hunting and making his delicious deer sausage to share with family and friends.

He was an avid fisherman, winning several Bass Fishing Club Trophies and always loved the annual “Port O’Connor Fishing Trip” taken with his father, Eddie; his brother, Ronald; his nephew, Dr. Jeffrey Krueger and friends, Dr. Marvin Leshikar, Edwin Marek and Reggie Ladner.

Larry was a faithful member of the Highway 95 Church of Christ in Taylor, Texas. He received much support, comfort and love from his brothers and sisters in Christ, his entire family and cherished friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Krueger; his sister-in-law, Pam Krueger; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Alice Rainwater and brother-in-law, Marvin Bachmeyer. Larry is survived by wife, Janice Rainwater Krueger; daughters, Katrina Krueger (Ryan) Wilhelmsen and Kandace Krueger (Rob) Matthews; daughter by marriage, Shaun Lynch (Clay) Karch and son by marriage, Brendon (Vanessa) Lynch; grandchildren, Levi, Owen, Micah, Heritage and Shepherd Wilhelmsen; Ashlyn, Ainsley, Asher and Alexa Matthews; Keatyn and Trace Karch; Houston, Preslee and Colin Lynch; brothers and sisters-in law, Robert and Tricia Krueger, Marjorie Krueger, Ronald Krueger, Dan and Becky Krueger, Lou Ann Kunze and Linda Bachmeyer and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Highway 95 Church of Christ in Taylor. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to consider donating to the charity of your choice in Larry’s name.
