Javier Amador

Javier “Dillo” Amador, 74, died at home in Pflugerville, Texas, on the morning of July 20, 2025.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1950, in Raymondville. Javier was the son of Daniel W Good and Maria Orenday-Good.

Known for his independence and love of the open road, Javier spent much of his life as a truck driver. Driving wasn’t just a job — it was his passion and his peace. He loved the freedom of the open road.

Javier had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He was a better grandfather than anything else, forging bonds that will be cherished for generations.

His quiet love, sharp wit, and unique personality made him unforgettable to those who knew him best.

Javier was preceded in death by his brothers Jack H. Good, Daniel W. Good, and Mercy Good. He is survived by his five children:

• Javier Amador and wife Irene of Canyon Lake

• Danny Amador and wife Shasta of Round Rock

• Chris Amador of Brownwood

• Marie Amador of Pflugerville

• Eva Degollado of Brownwood He was a proud grandfather to sixteen grandchildren: Jessica Schaffer, Jennifer Amador, Trinidad Degollado, Crystal Sotello, Monica Degollado, Ivy Jo Amador, Elijah Amador, Chris “Buzz” Amador, Danny Amador Jr., Sierra Degollado, Chris “Lele” Amador, Jeremiah Amador, Isaiah Amador, Dylan Marx, Sebastian Anzures, and Alexander Amador.

He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Arabella, Andrew, Karmyn, Jayden, Danny III, Selah, Alayna, Audisey, and Christopher “Gordo.”

Javier also is survived by two sisters: Daniela Good, Sandra Good Aguirre and husband Martin, and a brother William (Will) Good.

Javier was a man who lived life on his own terms- strong-willed, and always in motion. He will be remembered for his long hauls, his storytelling, and the deep love he quietly held for his family.

He will be cremated, and the family will announce a memorial gathering at a later date.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Austin for their compassionate care and support in his final days.
