Edward Morgan

Edward Albert Morgan, 89, of Hutto, Texas, died on Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

Edward was born March 23, 1936, in Norma, New Jersey, to E.W. and Frances Morgan. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 66 years, son Steven and wife Elizabeth of Taylor, and daughter Laura and husband Chad of Hutto.

He was blessed with five grandchildren, Morgan McHugh of Jarell, Ian McHugh of Round Rock, Jeremy Morgan of San Antonio, Rosie Morgan of Taylor, and Shelby Morgan of Denmark. Ed’s seven great grandchildren who brought him so much joy, Levi and Maddox, Ella, Emma, Hazel, Briana and Karlotta and numerous nephews and nieces who reside in New Jersey.

Edward retired from the United States Army after serving 20 years of service including one tour in Vietnam. He looked forward to meetings with fellow veterans at the Richard Oman American Legion Post 302 of Hutto. His passion was participating in Santa’s Workshop at Ft. Hood.

Honorary pallbearers are his five grandchildren and members of American Legion Post 302. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, Richard Oman American Legion Post 302 in Hutto or Santa’s Workshop in Fort Hood.

A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas. A funeral service will occur on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Condra Funeral Home Chapel, Taylor, Texas.

Edward will be laid to rest in Hutto City Cemetery, Hutto, Texas.
