Lorene Prinz was born Oct. 18, 1937, in Elgin, Texas, to Theo and Beda (Hobbs) Smith. She grew up with a younger sister, Doris (Smith) Lane.

She married her high school sweetheart Ray Donald Prinz on Feb. 13, 1954, with whom she spent 54 wonderful years. Their family was blessed with four children, Rhonda, Terri Lynn (deceased), Kendall, and Jody.

Other than her family, Lorene was proudest of the time she dedicated to St. Paul Child Development Center in Taylor, where she served as Director. Through her 36 years of service, she touched the lives of countless children whom she welcomed with open arms.

Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Beda Smith; her husband, Ray Donald Prinz; and her daughter, Terri Lynn. She is survived by her three children: Rhonda Aikey of Taylor; Kendall Prinz and wife, Lynn of Victoria; Jody Prinz and wife, Sue of Granger; sister, Doris Lane of Watauga; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
