Guadalupe (Lupe) Garza Estrada
Guadalupe (Lupe) Garza Estrada

Born to Jose and Juana Garza in 1934, she was raised in Thrall, but spent most of her life in Taylor. Lupe married Pablo Estrada, Sr in Georgetown in 1953, keeping each other company for 72 years.
She and her husband had seven children, raising them on equal parts love, great food and the threat of the chancla.
Lupe enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing and taking walks.
Her love for her family was so strong she helped raise multiple generations. Being a mother was a role that came naturally to her and she did selflessly.
Lupe is preceded in death by her siblings Manuela, Juana, Joe and Marcos, her son, Joe Estrada, and his son, Joshua Estrada.
She is survived by her husband Pablo Estrada, Sr and her children Pablo (Kathryn) Estrada Jr, Johnny (Annalyn) Estrada, Steven Estrada, Linda (Jeff) Ulrich, Tony (Carolyn) Estrada and Mary (Kirk) Winters, 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two greatgreat- grandchildren.
This is not a goodbye, this is a “thank you.”
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor on Feb.
