Taylor EDC enters agreement with The Steel Network

Taylor Economic Development Corp. will soon have a new partnership in the steel industry.

TEDC recently announced an economic development agreement with The Steel Network, a manufacturer based in Durham, North Carolina. This partnership marks a significant milestone in Taylor’s continued efforts to support industrial growth and job creation in the region.

Under the terms of the agreement, The Steel Network will design, construct, and occupy a new 50,000-squarefoot manufacturing facility on approximately 27.32 acres of land along Carlos G. Parker Boulevard and US 79. The property for this development was provided by TEDC as part of its ongoing mission to foster economic advancement in the community.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Steel Network to Taylor,” said Betty Day, TEDC Chairperson. “This investment not only strengthens our industrial base but also underscores the growing reputation of Taylor as a hub for advanced manufacturing.”

The agreement stipulates that The Steel Network will complete the construction and begin operations within three years. As part of this development, the company has committed to creating a minimum of 20 new jobs for the local workforce, contributing to Taylor’s economic vitality.

Founded in North Carolina, The Steel Network specializes in the design and manufacture of steel framing systems used in building construction and hyperbaric chambers. Their decision to expand into Taylor highlights the city’s strategic location, robust infrastructure, and business-friendly environment.

“This new facility represents an exciting step forward for our company,” said Edward R. di Girolamo, CEO. “We are eager to become part of the Taylor community and contribute to its economic success.”
