HUTTO — The Hutto High School varsity volleyball team recently released its 2025–26 schedule as the start of the regular season approaches.
The Hippos will open the season on the road against Georgetown Gateway College Preparatory on Aug. 12 before competing in the Westwood Tournament from Aug. 14–16.
Hutto will then travel to face Leander Vista Ridge on Aug. 19, followed by participation in the Pflugerville ISD Tournament, scheduled for Aug. 21–23.
District play begins Aug. 26, when the Hippos host Round Rock Westwood. They will then enter the Forney Invitational Tournament from Aug.
29–31. Hutto returns home to host RR McNeil on Sept. 2 and will travel to Cedar Ridge on Sept. 9.
The Hippos will then begin a fourmatch
home stretch, facing RR Stony Point on Sept. 12, Manor on Sept. 16, Leander Vandegrift on Sept.
19, and Vista Ridge on Sept. 26.
Hutto will go back on the road to face Westwood on Sept. 30 and McNeil on Oct. 3.
The Hippos will host Round Rock on Oct. 7 and RR Cedar Ridge on Oct. 10 before closing the regular season with three consecutive road matches — Stony Point on Oct. 14, Manor on Oct. 17, and Vandegrift on Oct. 21.
Hutto finished the 2024–25 campaign with a 21–20 overall record and a 9–7 mark in district play, narrowly missing out on the postseason. The Hippos will look to return to playoff contention this year while replacing six graduating seniors from last season’s roster.
